Our Valentine’s weekend stay was very disappointing and not what we expect from a 4-star hotel. The dinner service was extremely frustrating. We waited over three hours for a 3-course meal, which is simply unacceptable. As compensation, we were offered a digestif that we never received. Service timing was poor overall — our drinks arrived after the entrée and only shortly before the main course, and we even had to ask for bread. The fries were frankly terrible, clearly overcooked and seemingly refried multiple times. The hotel also appeared overwhelmed. There were so many guests that we didn’t even get the chance to use the pool. The room itself was nice and spacious; however, several details were disappointing. One towel had a large black stain, we received only one vanity pack despite being two guests, only one coffee capsule and one decaf capsule were provided, and the toilet paper roll was half empty upon arrival. The toilet also had a very unpleasant smell most of the time. We had a late check-out, yet we were locked out of our room because the system treated us as if we had a regular check-out. The reception response felt indifferent and frustrating, although the issue was resolved quickly.

The service was very good, from the reception to the people in the restaurants, to the cleaning ladies who greeted me with a nice smile always. The location is beautiful, Clervaux is a small but cozy village. The room is also good, I stayed in the Clervaux Suite, the only small complaint that I could have is the pillows are a bit hard/stiff, personally I prefer softer pillows. But that is just my personal preference. But I didn't want to bother the staff with this. I definitely come back and would recommend this place highly.

Rooms well appointed and large, almost flat size, with cosmetic maintenance needed everywhere. Wobbly toilet seat, one sink fine the other missing chrome attachments, chips and marks etc. All little things easy to fix that took the shine of an otherwise decent hotel. The carpets in the lobby were overdue a scrub, while the copy paste art work on every landing felt as if you were going around in circles. Personal choice, but we prefer bathrooms with physical doors. Our room was open plan and it seemed an oversight not to fit pocket sliding doors. The Hotel was fully booked but we noticed older rooms had these. The Spa services we didn’t use, the Jacuzzi was cold and a little grimy, whilst the swimming pool though great in photos was sardine tin packed. In fairness it is a small pool so doesn’t take much to feel busy. Believe non guests may also pay to use, perhaps in peak occupancy this could be reviewed. Hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. If you are able to get a deal, then it makes sense, otherwise …….
