We are pilgrims on the via di francesco. We called Cinzia ahead of time to book a room and she said the one I wanted was full but she had another apartment in Poreta we could stay in. She was so nice and texted us all the info to get in on our own. She left us with some milk and toast and apples and things for breakfast. The shop across the street (also hers) was perfect to grab some things for dinner. We had a simple dinner of pasta but Rosa, her mother who was working the store at the time, gave us some homemade pasta sauce to use out of the kindness of her heart. The apartment was clean, spacious, had very nice dishes. This was such a blessing for us on our journey and I highly recommend! I’m convinced the one bad review was just an unfortunate miscommunication because Cinzia was nothing but helpful and straightforward with us!

“Short” version: That was the worst experience we ever had staying at an accommodation. Be very careful. Cinzia is very unreliable and is not hospitable at all if she doesn’t want to. Our accommodation was double booked and she offered us a (bigger) accommodation for the same prize in Spoleto and to drive us there and back to Poreta. Sounds good at first. But in total we lost one afternoon (driving there and letting her clean the apartment before we were allowed to use it) and the whole afternoon and evening on the next day just waiting for her. What a wasted holiday. Shouldn’t have Listened to her offer and just looked for an apartment /a bed nearby for the night and continued hiking… For more detailed info I posted a picture with our point of view and her insulting text we got the next day with her point of view (if the fotos are not there anymore she might have deleted them). I’m booking accommodations on air bnb for a few years now and no one ever called me unpolite or unfriendly ... if you want to see my profile: we stayed on the 29.3. For one night in Foligno (Rainbow 2; Host: Edo). You have to look up my review and click on my profile picture to see all the reviews (24) my previous hosts gave me. P.s. I had 5 hours of waiting time to write this down and its such a long text and still doesn’t include the whole experience… I’m sure the accommodation is very nice if everything works out well and she can be very nice (as she was before we paid for the accommodation and we didn’t insist on her offering).

Authentic and genuine hospitality along the Via di Francesco. Cinzia welcomed us immediately and opened the cool abode for pilgrims. In the morning, she left us a generous breakfast basket (including gluten-free options for my wife). The courtyard was fantastic, where we could rest in the shade of a beautiful tree and in the company of the large colony of cats. Signora Rosa's (the mother) grocery store was lovely, where we enjoyed a beer and fruit juice. Rosa also prepared us an excellent Nera River trout for dinner, and we spent a wonderful evening before a well-deserved rest. Wonderful!
