St Petroc's Bistro

Absolutely memorable lunch here yesterday! From the minute we walked in and were welcomed with smiles for us and our dogs till we left with advice on the nearest patch of grass for them it was just a perfect experience. Quiet well decorated room with well spaced tables, perfect ambience, staff who were personable and professional and nothing was any trouble at all - treats and water for the dogs. The most delicious Bloody Mary, and the food? Orgasmic! Excellent local oysters 🦪, scallops done just right, superb smoked haddock and mussel chowder, and the main course? They popped down to Rick’s main restaurant to get us a whole lobster 🦞 which was brilliantly cooked and presented. Sadly no room for dessert 😦! All at reasonable prices. A most delightful, memorable lunch thanks to superlative staff and fantastic food!

Absolutely great couple of nights. Booked a 2 night package that included room, breakfast, 3 course evening meal, meat board/bottle of wine, lunch, free parking and Rick Stein’s latest book. The room was spacious, well furnished and spotlessly clean. All the staff were helpful, friendly and professional. We really couldn’t have had a better break- wonderful value for money.

Had a very lovely lunch during a trip to Padstow. The food was fresh and beautifully presented and the service was great. It's definitely a place I would go to again. Really great choice from a set lunch menu and lunch time specials and also a la carte selection. The lemon sole I had was lovely and the gorgonzola with honey and walnuts was creamy and tasty.
