Great location and can't beat the views of the steam and waterfalls. Call early to book a pilgrims massage and private spa. Yes it's dated, yes there is no AC, and yes there is not 4 gallons of bacon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, but welcome to Europe. They do offer breakfast included options also and they did have enough to eat for you to get back on the Camino. Highly recommend for pilgrims looking to recharge.

Five stars based on what it is advertised to be- not calling it a 5 star hotel! We enjoyed very friendly and helpful staff, the pool, the thermal bath, and location. Nothing fancy here and we weren’t expecting fancy. Very clean. The thermal bath space is rock-lined and lovely. I didn’t use the rest of the spa but it looked worn and sparse- not what I am used to when I think of a spa. The outdoor pool area was spacious and water felt great. I have seen mixed reviews about breakfast. We found it quite good- lots of fresh fruit, Spanish ham, turkey, cheese, good bread, butter and jams, pan tomate, yogurt, various coffee and other hot drink options as well as water and juice. Were there lines at 8 am? Yes. We sat down with some fruit and waited and the lines died down quickly. If you want to get an early start walking, 8 am isn’t ideal. We decided we would treat this as a day when it was okay to sleep a little more. It isn’t pretending to be a 5 star hotel so it shouldn’t be judged as such. Lovely stay and would recommend it.

One of the nicer hotels we were booked into during our Camino hike from Velenca to Santiago. We didn't partake in all of the amenities such as the bar downstairs and the heated pool. The room was nice, but not air conditioned, so we left the window open at night (fortunately our room faced the back of the hotel). The location was real nice being right on the river and across the street from a really nice restaurant we were able to get in and enjoy a fantastic meal. Breakfast wasn't set up well and lines set up quickly making it inefficient. Fortunately we got there early and missed all that. A good stay overall.
