Alla Battuta

Traveled as a solo Via di Francesco pilgrim and had trouble fining lodging, decided to shorten the day and stop in La Montagna and found Alla Buttata. I am so glad i did. Absolutely one of the best stops. The accommodations were perfect and very comfortable. Ofelia and Luigino were marvelous hosts and because the local restaurant was closed they prepared a wonderful home cooked meal. I felt so at home and welcomed. Thank you Ofelia and Luigino.

The most perfect choice! You'd better break up the way from Pieve Santo Stefano to Sansepolcro and sleep one night at here. Ofelia, Luigi and their son Alessandro are marvelous hosts! We felt welcomed as part of the family. The room is cozy, comfortable and very clean. Don't miss the dinner at Giulio's Resto, just close to Alla Battuta.

This place is just the most wonderful place to stay in the region. The hosts make you feel so welcome and their food is amazing. It is located in a small village near Sansepolcro, with complete tranquility, where you can chill in the garden or go for beautiful walks in the mountains or the forest. It is a true Tuscan experience away from the business of cities and tourists. Highly recommended! Elina
