Lyme 1 Hotel

The Lyme 1 Hotel was a wonderfully cute hotel room, perfectly positioned in the heart of the Lyme Regis beach scene. Only 20 steps from the entry point to the beach, you really can’t get much closer. The hotel room itself had a wonderful view with a cute 2-person setup of chairs and a table right next to the window looking over the ocean and town. The staff brought us a complimentary basket of breakfast each morning, had an easy water refill station in the kitchen and friendly staff just a WhatsApp message away. Truly such a wonderful way to begin our honeymoon. One piece of advice: bring earplugs! This would be relevant no matter where you’re staying in Lyme Regis, as motorists are fond of revving their engines as loud as possible through the narrow streets until well after midnight. All in all, we would absolutely stay here again!

Our room was very comfortable (we slept really well) and every detail had been thought about. Loved the Bramley products in the bathroom. My partner missed a cooked element in the breakfast but there are lots of nice brunch places nearby. A bit at the high end, price wise, but good value for Lyme.

The owners of Lyme 1 have thought of everything to keep this historic building running in a modern-day setting. Bed was very comfortable and a scenic window seating area to have our breakfast (provided in a hamper). We did stay over a weekend so given Lyme 1's central location (and beautiful sash windows) you can hear the Saturday fun but didn't really matter due to the overall comfort of the room. They provided one of those noiseless fan, which really did help and had a smart tv so we could sign into Now TV to watch the Austrian Grand Prix, which was an added bonus! I was very impressed with how clean it was, too 👌🏽
