Stunning House, Nightmare Owners – Avoid if you value your peace of mind In 12 years of traveling and using rental platforms, I have never been more insulted or ashamed of a stay. While the house itself is physically delightful—beautifully decorated and perfectly located for a group of 9 adults and 3 kids near the Saint-Lary telecabine—the behavior of the property owners was nothing short of appalling. The Reality of the Stay: Despite the "luxury" price point, we arrived to find hairs in the shower, one bed wasn't even made, and the Wi-Fi—essential for a group our size—did not work at all. We overlooked these things to enjoy our holiday, but the owners did not extend us the same grace. The Hostility: The checkout process was an extenuating, passive-aggressive interrogation. Despite us paying a fee for the cleaning service, the owners treated us like unruly children. They were extremely rude and have since resorted to blatant lies on rental platforms: • The "Trash" Lie: They accused us of not emptying bins; in reality, we simply forgot to empty the used coffee grounds from the machine. • The False Accusations: They blamed us for stains on door sheets that were present when we arrived. • The Hypocrisy: They actually complained that we left clean dishes drying on the counter—an act they literally feature in their own promotional photos of the house! It is truly a shame that such a beautiful property is managed by people who seem to despise their guests. Being accused of "mess" while being charged a cleaning fee is one thing; being lied about and treated with such hostility is another. Save yourself the headache. There are plenty of beautiful homes in Saint-Lary where the owners actually understand the concept of hospitality.

Terrible experience from check-in to check-out. Some of the beds were unmade, and other duvets had quite suspicious yellow stains. The internet didn’t work all weekend. The check-out requirements were excessive. There were no proper pillows on the beds, just low-quality, very uncomfortable cushions. Attention to detail was nonexistent. We would have appreciated at least some hand soap in the bathroom, as well as toilet paper. It felt like staying in a cheap hostel rather than a B&B. I do not recommend it.
