Hotel Falken

Very efficient and helpful personnel. They all genuinely endeavour to provide the best possible service. This is clearly the strong point of this hotel, together with its atmosphere and history. It has managed to keep its authenticity; the founders would be proud of the team running it today. A final good point is the central location, which allows guests to ski in and ski out.

Loved Hotel Falken and would recommend to anyone in the area. So much historic charm, and AMAZING views (see pictures.) I stayed in a single room and found it very comfortable. Staff was nice and attentive. I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant for dinner but breakfast was pretty good and I appreciated that they offered all sorts of coffee drinks (cappuccino, latte, etc.) I arrived around noon and my room wasn’t ready yet (check in was at 3) but they did store my bags which I appreciated. There is a grocery store and some shops nearby, but overall Wengen is very quiet which I liked. Not as crowded with tourists and gift shops as Lauterbrunnen. Worth noting there is a somewhat steep walk up to the hotel (3 mins or so) but that is the case for most hotels in the area. Strongly recommend staying in Wengen or Murren over Lauterbrunnen, and Hotel Falken is an awesome choice if you choose Wengen.
