Stayed for a week over Christmas. The chef was ill one night so the Restaurant was closed so had to fend for ourselves. Having said that the Staff were all lovely, helpful and friendly, though only a small team. Had a disabled room so wet room shower etc which was great. Didn't think the beds were as good as they normally are at other Premier Inns I've stayed at. Did enjoy our stay though as near the Dales and in a nice place

Booked this for a weekend away without checking reviews - didn’t think to check as usually premier inn has served us well. Stumbled across the reviews a few days before our stay whilst looking at the area on google maps and was quite worried about what I’d got myself into! Check in was fine and staff polite, registered car for free parking with no issues Hotel smelt fine, was expecting way worse from the reviews. Corridors a bit rough round the edges and probably in need of a refurb but wouldn’t have noticed if not for reading reviews prior to arriving Room was clean, warm and well kept was a newer style room which we weren’t expecting. Bathroom a bit tired likely due to no ventilation but no signs of mould or damp in the - maybe we got lucky with our room Didn’t eat at the restaurant used the chippy and the curry house both lovely and pubs were great too Total for the stay was £80 for 2 nights (February 2026) probably wouldn’t pay any more than that but was a pleasant stay and not at all like the reviews atleast in our experience.

Well what can I say, staff were pleasant, seemingly up against it, chef left the day before so no hot breakfasts, seemingly there's a lot of " chef left" posts!!! The hotel smelt overwhelming damp, foisty unpleasant smell, it needs closed down and redecorated, leaking radiators mended. The black mould in my shower was vile, the loo seat was yellow stained round the rim- yuk. The containers for the soap were dirty+ rusty, the bins were rusty, tea stain marks on bathroom surfaces!! Old staining on information booklets. There was a constant noise ALL NIGHT from the cleaning room next door to mine. (On the other hand the bed was clean+ comfortable, black out curtains worked a treat. ) So they need to steam blast that black mould out from the shower and surrounds, dry it down undercoat anything wooden then go to the next room+ clean that mould out go back to the previous and repaint all wooden skirting boards white after cleaning them first!!! Just basic stuff. Surely a handyman from the village could be employed to tidy the place up paint the outside etc etc!!! it's tired, mouldy and dirty. Never again!!!!!!
