Villaggio del Pellegrino

For a bungalow, it's fantastic! Two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with a shower and sink, the other with a toilet and a small sink), nice firm mattresses, just the way I like them; the only downside is the pillows, which are a bit limp. The kitchen has a table and chairs, all the necessary kitchen utensils, large windows with screens, air conditioning if you like it (I don't), closets, a four-burner stovetop, an extractor hood, and a large veranda with a table, chairs, a small barbecue, and a drying rack. Extremely peaceful and quiet. Parking is available in front of the bungalow. Right outside the entrance is the shuttle stop for San Gimignano, which is very convenient and much cheaper than driving and paying for parking. I stayed there two years ago and came back because it's the best place in the area. In August, there's also a pool, tennis court, and soccer field. You can't ask for more from a campsite!

We stopped for the night while walking along the Via Francigena. Excellent location, with buses to San Gimignano every half hour. Great price Strategic location for those who want to visit San Gimignano and the surrounding area.

Everything was perfect. We were in cottage 17, which had all the comforts of a real home, and was super affordable. There was a restaurant across the street, and a huge pool a 5-minute walk away. Everything was great, shaded and nature-friendly. There's also a very frequent bus to the center of San Gimignano. We'll be back!
