Hotel Valbor in Valbonë is truly one of the most wonderful places I’ve ever stayed. The cleanliness is impeccable — everything is tidy, the rooms are spotless, and every detail is well taken care of. The service is absolutely perfect: the staff is very welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. The traditional food is another reason why this hotel deserves five stars. Every dish is delicious, full of authentic flavors, and served in generous portions. It feels like enjoying a real homemade Albanian meal. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the stunning nature of Valbonë. I highly recommend it — Hotel Valbor is the perfect destination for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a truly authentic experience!

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was disappointing. Upon arrival, the room was not ready for check-in, even though the official check-in time was 2:00 PM. The room was handed over around 4:45 PM, and even then it was still not properly prepared. Additionally, before going to the reception, I had reserved a table for dinner. However, when we arrived, the table had not been reserved as confirmed. We were initially asked to sit in the bar area, and only after some time did they manage to arrange a proper table for us. Overall, the lack of organization and poor communication significantly affected our

A bit disappointed overall. Since it’s called a Luxury Hotel, we expected much more.. some details were just missing, and the price didn’t match the experience. The highlight was definitely the view, from the restaurant, the outdoor sitting area, and the room. Just wow. The room was okay but not great. (The shower got the half bathroom wet, the kettle was dirty inside, one mug was missing, and there were no mosquito nets. The TV apps like Netflix and Prime didn’t work). We didn’t understand why the sauna was closed when it was only around 10°C outside. I can understand the outdoor pool being closed after summer, but the sauna would have been perfect after hiking. That was quite disappointing. The worst part was the customer service: staff seemed very young, unprepared, and inexperienced. The girl at reception was nice, but the guy at the restaurant never smiled, didn’t greet us, and barely answered our questions. He seemed unprepared and like he didn’t want to be there. We had lunch, dinner, and breakfast there, so this wasn’t just a one-time impression. The food was just “okay”. None of the three meals really impressed us, especially after enjoying great local food elsewhere during our trip. At dinner, our two mains arrived 15 minutes apart, so we couldn’t eat together. Breakfast was very simple, with little choice, and half of the items were already gone even though we arrived just 10 minutes after opening. Also, the lounge music at the restaurant was too loud and didn’t fit the relaxing mountain atmosphere.. it actually ruined a bit of the vibe.
