Having had a lovely two hour stroll in Woolacombe, I really fancied a Sunday Roast. So I sourced this farmhouse which was roughly a 15 min drive away. The moment you arrive, Lisa greets you warmly and escorts you to the restaurant. It’s so cosy and inviting. Three tables are occupied and I’m seated near the kitchen. The ambiance is perfect and Wayne takes my order. He’s such a delight and commands the room so effortlessly. Lisa brings me a glass of red wine and joins me for a chat. Michael the chef comes and says hello. It’s so friendly and overwhelmingly hospitable. I’ve ordered the triple meat combo Sunday Roast lunch. It’s a little after 2:30 and I have an appetite. The meal arrives after approximately fifteen minutes. It really is fit for a king. Not only that but for two people. There are sauces and two gravy jugs also. Chicken, beef, pork, crackling, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, roasties, peas, parsnips, carrots and a Yorkshire with stuffing and a pig in blanket. Surprise surprise, it was way too much. All cooked to absolute perfection. Lisa & Wayne were the consummate hosts in every way. Absolutely made my day. I stayed and chatted for 2-3 hrs like I’ve always known them. A real hidden gem and a must visit if you’re in the vicinity. A well deserved five stars. 🌟

Probably the best sunday lunch we ever had since moving to the UK! Vegetables tasted so fresh and healthy with rich flavors. Rarely had carrots that delicious. Staff members are very friendly and attentive. Great feeling of a family restaurant. We sat outside with beautiful views and you can hear the creeks while enjoying the food. Overall amazing experience, highlight of our trip!
