One of the best parts about staying at this hotel was the lovely staff. Firstly we were welcomed with tea or Prosecco which is a very well thought out touch for travellers who are tired after a journey. Secondly the ladies at reception and breakfast were so chatty and kind. They helped us with recommendations and were happy to have conversations with us. Delicious breakfast as well! I wouldn’t miss this one. I had great blue cheese and the Aubergine slices were a star.

We’ve booked a room which upon arrival we were told it was being cancelled by a glitch in the system and we were given the only room left available which was situated in the garden; we were told that this was an upgrade however as soon as we entered the room we were extremely disappointed and would have preferred the cheaper room on the higher floor we’ve originally booked. The room felt extremely claustrophobic, there are curtains on the entrance door which if you don’t pull them close, whoever that walks pass can see you, if you close the curtains, if feels like you are in a bunker. Extremely unpractical and difficult to get in and out the bed and also quite small; I’ve personally found the pillows to be the most uncomfortable ones as lacking in filling. Guests are allowed to smoke in the garden area and outside the front of their rooms which entails smoke coming into your room if you leave the door open. In general, the room was very badly laid out, with a kitchenette which we definitely didn’t need. On the other hand we were offered a complimentary Prosecco upon arrival and a small bottle of it in our room, which it was a nice touch, staff were efficient, friendly and professional. Location also quite convenient.

One of the most special hotels I've been before! Each room has a unique design. The breakfast was very good. It is close to the historical city center.
