As hikers walking the Camino Portuguese, we truly appreciated the warm welcome here. We were the only ones in the bunk room, but it would have been perfectly comfortable even if shared. The lovely lady stayed open just for us — the bar was inviting, and we were very interested in the homemade olives! The jar was huge, but she kindly served us a portion to enjoy with our beer. The village was a bit farther than we wanted to walk, so we happily took one of the two dinner options: soup with tuna salad or spaghetti bolognese, plus added a carafe of wine. The setting was beautiful, the food hot, plentiful, and delicious. Comfy beds, hot showers — what more could you want? Highly recommend!

I am walking solo from Lisbon to Santiago, and since I couldn’t reach the albergue nearby, I chose this place. I felt very welcome here — the hosts were warm and friendly, the surroundings beautifully kept, and the 4-bed dorm was spacious and comfortable. Everything was spotless, and I also appreciated the small laundry option to hand-wash some clothes. Overall, it was a lovely and cozy stay, and I would definitely recommend it to other pilgrims. I would be happy to stay here again on my way.

A beautiful palace. The pool was a blessing. Cold and refreshing. Wonderful decorated. Various pilgrim meals. A real treat and definitely worth the price.
