A very special place - as soon as you step onto the property you feel peaceful. The stone cottages are charming both outside and inside: simple, with everything you need. Have stayed twice now and both times had a lovely quiet time. There is plenty of information provided re: local area, hikes etc and there are also religious/spiritual resources available. The sisters are kind and unobtrusive, and will make sure you have a pleasant stay. Perfect location with hiking trails on your doorstep, and beautiful Glendalough c. 20min walk away. There are also several restaurants/pubs nearby, and a shop.

Glendalough Hermitage is special place to stay with an atmosphere of relaxed silence. Each hermitage is a separate stone cottage - one room with a bathroom and small kitchenette. Very clean and well equipped in a simple style. The beds were particularly comfortable and the wood fire was a lovely treat. The warm welcome and unobtrusive care brings the experience to a higher level. The icing on the cake is the location and the stunning scenery of Glendalough. Well worth a visit.

This place has private autonomous cottages equipped with all facilities, bathroom, small kitchen, and private entrance. It is right next to St. Kevin's church, and next to a beautiful quiet forest with a river for some forest bathing. It is also next to the only grocery shop in the area, 5 mins on foot. There is access to a Coach Room with a small library filled with spiritual books that one can study 24/7, and a small prayer room where the sisters hold daily prayers for one who would like to attend (recommended!). There is a certain quality of quietude that can assist anyone with their inner retreat and the sisters are very helpful with all your accommodation needs.
