Camping Portobello

I think this camping is the best buy from the region. Spacious, old trees covering and providing shade and people that are really trying to help out. In our case we could lend a BBQ, which is another reason to go here since it IS possible to bbq here. Great to go to Venice as well as the beach. PS don't go to Sound Beach, they hate foreigners there and let them burn.

Very down to earth, cheaper than the other campsites in the neighborhood. The sanitary infrastructure is a bit dated, but it all works and the showers are hot. They were kind enough to provide some way to convert a 3point electrical outlet into a more conventional outlet so we could charge our phones. Completely Italian, so hope for the one person available who speaks a bit of English if you want to check in without reverting to improvised dialogs and using your hands and feet.

Bad sanitary conditions, no soap in bathrooms. Whole camping is like time travel to the 80's
