I planned to stay for two nights and ended up leaving after one because the accommodation was unfortunately not nice at all. When you enter the hall it already smells really wet and moldy, the room smells strongly of incense sticks (probably to cover up the other smell). It was so bad I had to leave the window open at all time. Unfortunately the rooms are right by a noisy street, so I could only choose between noise or bad smell. The communication is easy and they reply quickly to all answers, but unfortunately it’s just not a very welcoming place. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Very cute! The lady at the reception was super sweet and their breakfast options are really healthy! When I told them that I was leaving early the next day (to early too attend the breakfast) they even provided me with a small lunch bag. Only minus: bathroom is shared!

We stayed a few nights in Cactus Salinas, and the biggest disappointment was the area which is right by the super noisy street. We knew it was a bit further from the beach (we looked it up on Google) but it is really in ugly industrial zone - which is not so clear just looking at the map... However they tried to do all they could to decorate this building from inside with the Frida Kahlo theme. Overall it's not bad despite the fact there are plenty of little unexpected steps up or down sometime so it's easy to trip also it's a nightmare for tall people to hit your head on some random ceiling going low here or there, also the handle to enter the rooms is far below the hip height. The bathroom in the private room is super tiny and for the price we paid we had just one toilet shared with a few rooms on the floor and the balcony looking to other people's rooms. We had to leave 2 nights earlier due to health issues (food poisoning we get a few days before) and none of the money we paid was refunded. The staff is friendly just having really poor English but they all did their best and we appreciate that. Thumbs up for the cleaning lady who was really fun and was really sad seeing us go earlier. All the best to the cactus Salinas family, the concept is great, perhaps I could give you 4 if the price-quality ratio would be closer.
