Rosemundy House Hotel

I have just returned from a 5 day stay with Ellen Smith Tours. We were a large group but the service and hospitality at The Rosemunday was second to none. All luggage was taken from the coach to our rooms on arrival then, again to the coach on our departure. Excellent, friendly service in the restaurant and bar throughout. All meals served hot and quickly despite there being nearly 50 of us. Plenty of choice and good quality. Would definitely recommend.

I had an extremely rude encounter today with the Rosemundy hotel manager while I was taking my dogs for a stroll in the sun. I wasn’t aware that dogs aren’t allowed near the hotel on the outside grounds, especially as I’ve seen many people walking around there with their dogs and there’s no signs saying it’s forbidden. If she had simply come out and informed me politely, I would have apologised straight away and left. I am genuinely sorry, as I truly didn’t realise. However, the way she spoke to me was incredibly rude. She spoke to me like absolute dirt and began having a go at me, implying that I leave dog poo on the lawn - something I would never do in my life! My little dogs weren’t even on the lawn at the time. I’m a local living nearby and I’m honestly shocked by this behaviour. The whole experience has left me feeling really shaken. Goodness knows how she speaks to her staff. I’ve never come across such rudeness in the village before. Reminder to the manager - be kind! It costs nothing.

What a lovely hotel with amazing staff, run by a super efficient manageress.Spent 4 nights here with a coach holiday ,entertainment was great andCornish bingo was a good laugh. Food was outstanding. Can’t fault this hotel at all.
