The hotel itself is beautiful elegant, serene, and full of character. Tucked away from the busiest areas, it offers a peaceful retreat while still being perfectly located to explore the city. The historic setting and architecture give the hotel a unique charm that feels authentically Roman. Our room was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the property was calm and inviting. After full days of sightseeing, returning to the hotel felt relaxing and restorative. The staff were kind, professional, and welcoming, contributing to an overall experience that felt both personal and well cared for. Everything about our stay from check-in to check-out was smooth and enjoyable. If you are looking for a beautiful hotel with a tranquil atmosphere and a great location in Rome, Hotel Donna Camilla Savelli is an excellent choice. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

If you’re considering this hotel because they promote the “BeSafe Plus” insurance, be very cautious. The hotel takes payment up front, encourages guests to choose the insured rate, and then completely distances itself when you actually need to use the insurance. It’s extremely fishy: they collect the money, but when a legitimate cancellation arises, they tell customers to deal with the insurance company on their own... even though the insurer doesn’t respond. Someone close to me had to cancel for serious personal reasons, exactly the kind of situation the insurance is supposed to cover. She booked directly through the hotel, selected the insured rate, and followed every rule. Despite this, the hotel charged her the full amount as if the insurance didn’t exist, provided no support, and showed 0 accountability. After reading further reviews, this looks like a recurring pattern. Even guests dealing with major medical issues or bereavement have been denied refunds and left to fight a Goliath-like insurance provider on their own. Meanwhile, other reputable and even less expensive hotels offer straightforward free cancellation without sending guests into a bureaucratic battle. If you’re booking here hoping that the insurance gives you peace of mind, it doesn’t. Think carefully before committing.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this beautiful hotel. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and every member of staff are so friendly. The hotel was spotlessly clean and I was overwhelmed by its stunning beauty. Wow!!! Breakfast was excellent with great choices to cater for every dietary requirement. What a gem this place is! We hope to return in the future and this made our first trip to Rome (and Italy) so special. Thank you to every single member of staff for being so kind and helpful too. Best wishes to you all.
