Hotel Salzburger Hof Bad Gastein

One of the best hotels I’ve had the pleasure of staying at, it’s beautiful, spacious and the staff are amazing. We stayed for 7 days over the Christmas period, the bar is great, the meals that were included as half board included a 5 course menu each night and the food was different each night. The rooms are cleaned every day, the cleaners are very friendly and do an excellent job. The pool area has the most incredible views of the mountains and it definitely has the wow factor. The location is perfect everything within walking distance, plenty of bars, restaurants, skiing shops and more importantly the slopes! What made it even more special was that Father Christmas came to visit the kids and he was reading out the names of the kids who were staying at the hotel and gave them all presents we weren’t told that was going to happen so that was a lovely surprise. A perfect holiday, thank you to everyone involved with this hotel!

This hotel was one of the stops on our cycling trip. It's a little dated but still tasteful and clean. Beds are a little soft. The front desk staff could be a little friendlier but we've encountered this a lot in Austria so perhaps it's a cultural thing. The views are quite beautiful given the 1060 metre elevation.

I had a very enjoyable stay at this lovely hotel. The food was interesting and varied. The service was excellent and the bar, with live entertainment was very enjoyable.
