what a very special place. family-owned by Thomas and Ilona for 18 years… cozy, comfortable, quiet and friendly ambiance. delicious breakfast and marvelous dinners with a focus on local ingredients and creative dishes. Thomas has a true love of the land, and has an excellent knowledge of Swiss wines. regarding location - it takes a little effort to get to town and many of the main trekking sites, but for me it was perfect - i loved my morning stroll to the cable car or by the river to start the day’s adventures. the owners provide you with a guest card and cable card pass so you can go anywhere easily and not worry about paying fares. it is a great freedom! i spent a wonderfully peaceful six nights here.

Great Restaurant/Bar at a good location next to a bus stop and at the end of a great hike. Amazing Ice Cream and shots, something you really need to try.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The room were very spacious and clean. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, which was really good. As the hotel is situated right next to some farms, unfortunately the amount of flies that were present was slightly annoying but there is nothing much to be done. Some guests were quite loud and as our room was situated next the stairs, also we could hear the entrance door banging loudly, perhaps something that can be improved by the management. The room did not have black out curtains, which was also slightly annoying as the kids were waking up very early in the morning. This hotel is situated in the countryside (20 -30 mins by foot to town), which was not an issue for us as we wanted to enjoy the nature and to bike around the surroundings.
