A former whale-watching lookout turned into a bothy. One of the most remote shelters on Skye — accessible only by foot. No electricity, no comfort. Just sea, wind, and views stretching toward the Outer Hebrides. If you're lucky, you might spot whales or seals from the window.

Spent a night here at the beginning of my Skye Trail hike back in 2021, such a wonderful spot! Saw a few minke whales, and the couple before me reported some orcas! Places like this are so special, please keep them clean!

Bothy is small but very cozy. Great shelter from wind and rain. Saved me on a day of storm. Gets really busy : 13 people slept once. Bunk beds are for 3 people, rest on the floor. Can be not very clean at times due to number of visitors. No rivers nearby, but rain water tank is there. No fireplace. Mobile signal +. Great views. Can get very windy though Trail from the carpark is very easy, although last 500 m are boggy wet and a bit rocky. Thanks for maintaining!
