Camping Zelaia

We stayed in one of the Studios and really enjoyed having air conditioning, which was an absolute must during one of the hottest weeks of the year. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming, which we appreciated. However, a major drawback of Camping Zelaia is its location right next to a busy main road. The noise from the traffic is almost constant, with speeding vehicles zooming by day and night. For us, this made it extremely difficult to relax, and I think it’s something future guests should be very aware of — particularly if staying in a mobile home close to the road, as it could completely overshadow your stay. The swimming pool was also a disappointment. I’d rate it 1 out of 5. It felt far too small for the number of people using it, and there was no lifeguard present. Children were diving and bombing into the pool repeatedly with no parental supervision, which made it feel unsafe and unwelcoming for those who just wanted a swim or some quiet time. Overall, while the studio accommodation itself was good and the staff were lovely, the combination of road noise and the poor pool environment meant we left feeling quite frustrated rather than relaxed.

Fab place to stay, surrounded by trees and mountains. Cabin spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly. Swimming pool a real treat. Gabriel's restaurant and food brilliant. He couldn't do enough to welcome us, explaining and recommending different dishes. If you have a food allergy, he's very clued up..I felt safe eating there. Oh and did I mention that the food was delicious.... The site lost a star because it's on a fast and quite busy road....not a huge problem but there is some background noise.
