The Bath Hotel

Beautiful hotel, great room, incredible location and lovely staff. The only complaint I have us that the restaurant and bar were closed and we weren't told about this, we had even booked a table. We were anticipating a fancy meal for my birthday when we arrived, bit made do with burgers in the pub next door, which were very lovely. However it would have been good to have been informed. Other than that, totally perfect.

Afternoon tea, Sadly with regret this is not a good review. On arriving we were taken to our reserve table and 25 minutes later was served the afternoon tea. I requested gluten free for myself, we were both served gluten free, the bread for the sandwiches was very dry as if they had been left out for a while, the scones were rock hard like rock cakes. Which was very disappointing as I was really looking forward to having them. I did request for another scone showing them the issue. I waited for 10 minutes, then asked another waiter and agreed to replace the hard scones but then had to tell me there was no more scones. The deal also should of included a bottle of Presseco, it was a wowcher deal which I paid £30.00 for. Very disappointed as we could of had a decent meal for the cost of the afternoon tea. 😕

Arrived late afternoon and got booked in quickly and efficiently. Info on hotel access and where to go for breakfast lunch etc. Shown to rooms, every thing good, clean. Bottled water and milk available in fridges on the landings. Coffee facilities in the room was kettle, a pod machine and decaf plus normal coffee in bags. Great options. Good view across the bay and watching the fishing boats bobbing about in the bay. Sadly the funicular railway was supposed to be open on Saturday but I suppose due to not being busy it had closed the previous day. But a good walk was no hardship although it was just a bit wet Good food in the bar various other rooms were available for quiz night and staff were very helpful kind with the children.
