The Plough Hotel

An honest review here. The Plough Hotel is not new so don't expect new. This is a very old pub/hotel put I found it clean and functional. Staff are brilliant, friendly and helpful. Food is well cooked, tasty and plentiful. Breakfast was superb....and kept us charged all day. Room was well sized with essentials. Clean and well renovated whilst maintaining its history. All in all a great stay and yes I would come back and stay.

I recently stayed at the Plough Hotel while traveling for business and meeting new clients, and I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The hotel offered a perfect balance between comfort and practicality, which made it ideal for a work-related trip. My room was impressively spacious, providing plenty of room to both relax and catch up on work in the evenings. I particularly appreciated how remote and quiet the location was—it allowed me to unwind after busy days without the usual distractions or city noise. The peaceful atmosphere created the right environment to recharge, which was especially valuable on a business trip. The staff were attentive and made the check-in process smooth and stress-free, which helped set the tone for my stay.

Just home from a 2 night stay at The Plough. Had a great time! Cosy comfy hotel with lovely bar, wood burner and friendly locals. Food was amazing (large portions!) You wont go hungry here! Bar has a lovely vibe to it. Big shout out to Lindsay! Large spacious bedroom (room 5) great big bath and powerful shower. Really comfy bed! Book it! You wont be disappointed!
