Great Southern Killarney

Wonderful hotel! The building is beautiful and right beside the train station but also in the middle of town. The staff were phenomenal during our stay. The lobby and bar are spectacular and the dining room is one of the most stunning rooms in Ireland. The rooms are being renovated currently and the new style is very elegant. The swimming pool is great, especially for those with young children as the kiddy pool is beside the hot tub. Would absolutely recommend.

Never ever leave reviews but I had to leave one for here. What a beautiful stay from start to finish. The hotel itself is stunning as is the food and cocktails, however the diamond was the staff. Every single person we encountered working there, from the staff at reception, cleaning team, servers, porters and leisure staff were absolutely exceptional. They radiate warmth and hospitality and are a credit to the team and gifted at making people feel comfortable and special. Thanks so much for the wonderful time and will be only staying at The Great Southern when in Killarney going forward.

Really enjoyed three days at the Killarney Great Southern during the week- the room was beautifully decorated and furnished making it a truly comfortable place both for rest and the work I needed to do in the course of my stay. Connectivity was well supported with charging point discreetly around the room. The bathroom was particularly well designed, spacious and equipped with both a pretty standalone bath and a spacious shower cublicle. A hint of luxury was added with the toiletries and standard of hairdryer etc that were provided. Ample breakfast coffee capsules, teas etc also provided. Breakfast was in the very charming and elegant surroundings of the restaurant- I’d love to return soon to fully appreciate the hotel as a holiday treat without any element of business next time. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and especially Olana in the housekeeping team.
