Camping Río Jara

My boyfriend and I stayed at this campsite 3 years ago and we have very fond memories of that time. However, this year we noticed that the staff has changed. Since we were not staying at the campsite this time, we were not treated kindly. When we wanted to take a quick look around the campsite as a nostalgic visit. Their reaction to that was not very kind. After that, we briefly parked in a free spot to unload our surf gear, so that my boyfriend could then look for another parking space across the road. We were immediately threatened that the police would be called. An older man with a grey mustache even told us that Dutch people should leave. We did not feel welcome at all. We felt very discriminated and deeply shocked by this behavior. We are certain that we will never return in the future. We felt treated so poorly. This was extremely disappointing..

Awful muddy site very small pitches ..some people been there for yrs ..dirty place .same hose for the dunnie as to refill water ..we didn't bother. Rubbish bins at the bottom of pitches .no lids . No dog pooh bins . So many trees ..difficult to miss when parking on pitch .no signal for starlink ..shop was cash only .they lock your cable in the box and have to get it unlocked to use . Lots of stagnant pools of water .Mosquitos every where . Not cheap either .

We (my Family and me) have been surprised about some of the comments and feedbacks here. The location is super close to the beach with own access. The staff Team is big and you can Always find someone who us helping If needed. The staff is also very friendly and supportive. The bath rooms / toilets etc.: yes it is not built Last year but it is super Clean (Always), you have many many showers and toilets --} Not crowded Like on other Camping places. And that you can See some Chicken running around is really giving this place a Special Kind of Charme. We are used to Hotels and Not Camping places but we Liked this one a lot.... Supermarkt, bar , Coffee all is good and nothing to complain.
