Had an excellent stay here at the Alburgue. So very grateful for the volunteers who run the place. Antonio was outstanding and went above and beyond to make sure we were all looked after. They offer an excellent breakfast too with great coffee.

Probably the worst private albergue I stayed in my entire journey. Please be aware if you planning to stay here. I booked the albergue via their online platform, when we arrived, the door was closed, rang the door bell no one’s there. Tried to call them and they asked us to message them then they hang up immediately. After sending a couple of messages informing us how we could access etc, we saw no staff at all, which still okay. (Just not entirely sure where the welcoming staff as mentioned in the previous reviews) The albergue was empty that day, just me and my female friend there. We decided to cook a simple dinner at their kitchen-nothing complicated, we reheated some food with their microwave and cooked noodles with their induction stove. Then the power and light went off completely. Please bear in mind the entire place only had two girls, me and my friend. We did not panic but tried to solve the problem by ourselves trying to turn the switches up at the electrical panel, it turned on for one sec and went off next sec. And so on for a couple more try. I called the albergue and again they asked me to message and hang up again. For the rest, please read the screenshot for their follow up, no one ever showed up and concerned if we were safe at this albergue. I never, ever given any one star for reviews but if 0 star is an option I would hv given none for this place. Please think twice before you make your booking.

It's well located. Advise to the owner, lift up the curfew a bit. 10pm no entry time might be a bit too soon for some travellers, specially if they want to see the beautiful city around and dine the one and only tortilla de Betanzos :) Also the rooms can get too cold at night, including blankets could sort out the issue. The place is run by volunteers so expect no professional service to customers.
