Ben Lomond Bunkhouse, Ardess Lodge, Rowardennan (National Trust for Scotland)

I had the whole place to myself because I was walking in the middle of December. Very warm welcome and was shown around the bunkhouse and shown all the facilities. Lovely wood burner in the lounge.

Whilst undertaking the WHW we chose to stay here - my expectations were exceeded.. The welcome was great, very helpful, everyone was very pleasant. The rooms are clean, and quite large, this is especially helpful when you have rucksacks requiring rummaging through to get 'stuff'. There's plenty of hot water, although the bathrooms are across the corridor. There is both a 'lounge' and a kitchen (with large table); there was everything you need in the kitchen to prepare and eat food. There was quite an array of food available to purchase (very cheap), including large pizza's, chocolate bars, dried foods, tea, coffee, etc

Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds. Very friendly staff gave me great tips and advice on the surroundings. The kitchen is stocked and also has an honesty box for the road. Great place to stay!!
