Lingay House

We had had to book fairly last minute as we were supposed to be on the island 4 days earlier, but we’d had a family bereavement, & a funeral to attend. So we had the bunk room. However, the beds are so comfortable! The house is super clean, the sitting room has a lovely view. Jethro and Barry are such courteous hosts, & they are amazing cooks; the dinner was gorgeous, & breakfast was amazing! Lingay House is well placed, with the beautiful west coast beaches within easy reach, and St Clements church at Rodel really worth a visit. Harris is a spectacularly beautiful island! Thank you Jethro and Barry, we recommend you!

Had a fantastic two night stay at Lingay House to visit my brother and his family on the island. I was lucky to find last minute availability of the bunk room and it didn't disappoint. Very clean, comfortable, with a great shower and everything that you could need for a good night's sleep - I was even able to do my laundry. The location is excellent with nearby access to Leverburgh, Northton and the best beaches and hikes on the island. Breakfast was excellent and Jethro and Barry were perfect hosts. Highly recommended!

Jethro and Barry were both really friendly, and very welcoming. The food was delicious, beds were comfy, and a great location to explore south Harris. They have loads of knowledge and have lots of books about the islands, to help plan your days. Already planning our next visit, next time with our bikes!
