Shamrock Farmhouse B&B

Margaret is one of my new favorite people. We could not have been luckier to be able to stay with her. She treated us like old friends from the minute she rescued us from a day of rain. Her BB is beyond special. A true working farm with cute (and dumb) sheep, incredible draft horses and loving border collies. Her food is incredible. Totally delicious and abundant. We loved the room, the quiet and food!!! If you’re lucky enough to find yourself in the black valley, I hope you’re lucky enough to stay with Margaret and make a friend for life. Thank you so much!

Margaret is a delightful and generous host and went above and beyond to welcome us after our first long day on the Ring of Kerry trail. I count her B&B as our very best stay in all of Ireland and most definitely the best food, too. We loved being able to get right off and on the trail from the home and the sweeping views were very lovely, as well.

We had a great stay in this B&B directly at the Kerry way with a great view. Our room was absolutely clean and with a good mattress, to allow a good sleep after the long walk. Margaret is a welcoming host and we can really recommend the dinner: we had mushroom soup, a giant Spaghetti Bolognese and chocolate lava cake, delicious!
