Restaurants & Guesthouse Villa Gurra

We had a nice stay at Villa Gurra in Theth. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. They even arranged our bus ticket to Shkoder at a fair price, and the bus picked us up right in front of the guesthouse! The rooms were warm and comfortable, each with its own heater, which was great during the colder season. The location is perfect, right in the center of Theth. Breakfast was continental, a nice change, and we really appreciated the good coffee. Unfortunately, we experienced some issues with the shower (the water took quite a while to get warm, but never hot) and we suspect the pancakes at breakfast might have caused food poisoning, which led to a very bad bus drive. Still, the hospitality and service were excellent, and we really appreciated the effort of the team.

we just checked in and yea we like it already :D deluxe double room was perfectly fine for two people with Mountain View. breakfast is 5€ and seems decent. We took earlier bus from Shkodër and we arrived earlier than normal check in time and they helped us to make a room ready quickly. Pricewise for low season is also okey. Hosts at the reception are also friendly and chill.

Do not book this guesthouse! This guesthouse is located at the entrance of Theth, but it's the worst! Some rooms are located in the chalet, but not all of them. The room with two single beds labeled "chalet" is not in the main chalet, and the same goes for another room labeled "Double room with twin beds." The other rooms, with no photos, are probably also located in the house under construction, as there is no evidence to the contrary. The wooden chalet is just for show. We ended up sleeping in a house under construction behind the chalet (see photos). Negative points: * We found two worms on the floor. * The rooms are not in the main chalet but in a house under construction about 50 meters behind it. * The room is small, and the floor is dirty, with hair in the sheets. * There was no electricity at first, but it was turned on later. * The hot water doesn't come right away; you have to wait a few minutes. * The bathroom is awful; the shower isn't separated, and the water spreads everywhere in the bathroom, overflowing into the main room as well (see photos). * You need to wear shoes because it's disgusting. * Only one roll of toilet paper for two nights. * No shampoo or shower gel. * The towels smell musty. Breakfast costs 5€ per person and is terrible: the sausages are dry, the pancakes are just dough fried in oil, a few slices of fruit, and nothing else. I won’t even mention the minor issues: no water bottles, and no shutters to block out the daylight.
