Hotel Post Sargans AG

Good dinner at the hotel restaurant. Good breakfast. I had a pleasant stay at the Post. Beautiful train ride from Zurich

If you want a good night sleep, this is not the hotel for you. The rooms have no airconditioning and they did not have enough fans for our room, so it was extremely hot. Our room 102, was just off from the dining room and the room door was so poorly insulated that we heard the staff setting up the breakfast at 6 am and guests in the hallway going to breakfast. To top up this experience, the only window in the room, that we had to have open due to the lack of air-conditioning, was faced the back entrance were the tourist bus started up at 6:30 and was idling for 15 minutes waited for its guests that congregate as they were loading the bus with their luggage and chatting for the next hour before the hour before the bus started up again to idle another 15 min. On arriving I asked if I could borrow an iron for our shirt but this was not available but the house cleaning would iron our shirts if we came with them in the morning. The next morning at 7 am (awake due to the bus) I went down to the reception and was told that ironing of our clothing would be difficult.

We stayed in a suite and it had air conditioning. The regular rooms don’t. Tons of stairs and no one to help carry luggage.
