Old School House Laragh

My husband and I hosted our wedding at The Old School House on June 20th 2024, and couldn't have chosen a better venue. Lisa and her sons were incredibly responsive and helpful through our long distance planning, and beyond attentive upon arrival. The house is beautifully decorated, clean and homey. It sleeps 10 in the most comfortable down beds. The grounds are immaculate and clearly a labor of love, the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. Our guest were in awe of how lucky we were to have stumbled upon it! Food preparation was all done on site by their talented professional chef, and our reception meal was beautifully prepared. They were happy to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions for myself and our guests. They also have a fully equipped bar, no one saw the bottom of their glass the entire night. The service was impeccable. I couldn't recommend The Old School House more for your events! Very reasonably priced and perfect for our small 30 guest wedding. Lisa we can't thank you enough for making our wedding day one to remember ❤️

Last weekend we had the pleasure of staying in The Old Schoolhouse in Laragh and it went above and beyond our expectations. Our daughter was getting married locally and we used the house as a base for the weekend. This is such a charming house with the most beautiful decor and the most homely and welcoming feeling. From family dinners to Bridal breakfast and preparation it was the perfect place. Lisa was on hand for any help that we needed and you can tell that she is really invested in her guests having the best possible time in the house. We are more than happy to recommend the house to large families or groups of friends. Our only regret is that we didn’t get to spend more time in the house as it the perfect place to relax. We would love to return for another visit and hope to do so in the future.

On May 11th 2024 we used the Old school house laragh, as our venue for our small and intimate wedding. We cannot express just how amazing this venue was, alongside the hosts who worked so hard to make our day so special. The grounds are stunning, and the house is beautiful. Our hosts provided a four course meal for all our guests, made by an exceptional team of chefs. The food was 10/10, and was clearly cooked with love. This also included a home cooked selection of canapes. They tailored the menu to us entirely. This wasn't just it, the hosts also made us beautiful cocktails for our evening guests too and served drinks throughout the day. I cannot express just how hard the hosts worked throughout the day to make our day perfect. Very easy going and flexible with our needs. There is not a bad word to say about this venue, and all the hardworking hosts, we will always be thankful for all that they did and no doubt will we be back in the near future. Truly, they went above and beyond for us.
