Hostel Sorogain

We were here on our way along the GR11 trail and decided to stay for the night spontaneously due to thunderstorms. We got taken in without issue, despite not having called before and were treated very kindly despite our lack of Spanish. The facilities were clean (shower and toilet) and the room was a decent 12 bed room with a personal locker. The dinner and breakfast was very decent home-made cuisine without frills, which was very welcome after being on the trail for a few days. Thanks for everything!

A very good place in the middle of a trail between Elizondo and Auritz. Very clean multipersons rooms and good facilities for travelers. You may find it closed before 5PM as I did. If this a case you can find a little roof 15 meters after the main entrance to the hostel where you can hide if the weather is bad. A huge plus for excellent dinner and breakfast. Hosts are very helpful. This is an excellent place to stay if you find getting to Auritz too much for you for the day.

Very clean rooms and bathroom. We did find the price of 45 euros a lot compared to other facilities along the GR11. Dinner wasn't very good but tastes differ I guess, so that's a personal opinion (although pasta was half cold half lukewarm), breakfast was okay - baguette toasted way too hard.
