Hotel Grünerhof

We have recently returned from a great skiing holiday in Obergurgl. The hotel was perfectly sited, so near to the slopes but also in an exceptionally quiet area at night. Our room was spacious and beautifully furnished with an outstanding bathroom. Every meal was delightfully presented and the food was delicious. Many thanks to Barbara, Maximilian and the hotel staff for making our holiday so memorable.

We stayed at the hotel for a week in April. We slept in a very spacious room facing south. This room was very spacious and equipped with every comfort. The terrace was very large, well screened and had a beautiful view of the mountains. It was very pleasant to sunbathe thanks to the loungers provided. The hotel has recently been renovated and very tastefully decorated. Everything is very well maintained and spotless. A compliment to the cleaning staff. We stayed with a room/breakfast formula but had dinner in the restaurant almost every evening. The young, passionate chef provides delicious dishes in which he creatively and expertly prepares fine dishes with mostly excellent local products. The service is perfect thanks to the fantastic team. All staff is friendly, helpful and nearby with great attention to detail. We could easily enjoy skiing because the hotel is located next to the large ski lifts of Obergürgl. After skiing we enjoyed the saunas. A wonderful paradise where we will definitely come back!

This is just the most perfect experience one can have if they want to live in a 5 star hotel , eat the most delicious food ( both breakfast, snacks and dinner) and enjoy well maintained amenietes ( sauna, natural pool, terrace with view). We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights , booking last minute via booking. Even if the booking was last minute, the arrival was facilitated thanks to the staff’s welcoming attitude and an overall great first impression of the entire property. They all spoke excellent English, some even spoke Italian . The hotel is very well kept and everything inside is spotless. The rooms are well decorated and all the materials like linen, mattresses and pillows are of the best quality - good sleep is ensured! The bathroom has a huge bathtub, a beautiful big shower and the wc is separated . The hotel has a sauna - and for that reason, in the room, you can find a lovely bag with bathrobe, towels and slippers that you can use to go to the sauna downstairs. In summer the sauna is not always on, but if you let the reception know at what time you’d like to use it, they ensure it’s ready for you. The breakfast is just divine ! When you arrive the tables are already arranged Bircher muesli with yogurt , butter , a selection of locally sourced and home made jams, a platter of freshly cut fruits, jar of coffee , a jar of water, a glass of juice, and a healthy shoot of …… . As soon as you sit at the table, they ask and then bring you : a plate of different cheese, a selection of cured meat ( speck, salame, ham, turkey ham). All the hot food is made upon request. Their omelet with speck, mushrooms, cheese and tomato is a must try for breakfast. When it comes to dinner - oh my! Easily one of the best table service received - very attentive to every detail, good knowledge of wines , the plates served and most importantly- they accommodated a request outside their menu . All the food we had was perfectly cooked, very well presented and the sizes of the dishes were generous. We tried the typical schnitzel - crispy outside, moist inside accompanied with a fruity sauce was delicious! ; and we had the slow cooked meat - served in a broth, accompanied by roasted potatoes and a salad . The meat was to be eaten with freshely grated Kren - everything 10/10!! Overall is highly recommended for the service, the quality and the excellent amenities. The hotel is easy to reach using google maps . Plenty of parking is available at the hotel . All the hotel is Wheelchair accessible . Review made on summer 2025
