We had dinner at Les Bassans, but did not stay at the hotel. The view from the restaurant is spectacular, the dining room is very nicely decorated with a cozy ambiance. The staff was very attentive, friendly and professional. The food was okay. The main attraction is the setting and the architecture of the bar and restaurant.

This hotel enjoys a wonderful position over the sea where you can watch the ebb and flow of the tides. The staff is comprised of mostly young women who are all charming and service oriented. The dining room is not luxurious, but has a hard edged bistro feel. No white table cloths here. The bar is missing any appeal. I’m sure that could be fixed simply. The bedrooms all overlook the sea, some more than others. They are decorated with little knickknacks to add a homey feel. A few wishes: I would like to have been able to walk around to my side of the bed without having to duck. This is challenging at night. I wish there weren’t so many doors to open and close to use the bathroom and then wash my hands. I wish there were a dimming system for lights at night. I wish there were a shower curtain or glass curtain beside the shower, so I don’t have to mop the floor after showers. I wish there were towel bars or the heated towel rack was working. The towels used one morning were still wet the next morning. I wish there were hooks for the bathrobes, so they don’t have to hang off the radiator onto the floor. And look messy.

This restaurant/hotel was renovated and was previously the Manoir du Sphinx and is presented in a new look. We booked a table the day they opened the kitchen (18/06/2025), what a coincidence, and we have nothing to complain about. The view was amazing overlooking the coast. The service was super kind. The aperitifs were very limited due to their start but totally acceptable, but their wine card was fully available. The food was amazing, presented in a luxurious way and well portioned. Prices are more than fair for the quality provided. Limited parking space due to current road works, but that's just temporary. Book a table in advance and enjoy the experience.
