my Hostel Füssen

Well thanks to this place I could book a last minute accommodation since all AirBnBs in this town were sold out! We had to visit the castle at 10 AM and it was impossible to be there on time using public transport from Munich. The rooms were quite clean and beds were comfortable. The shared toilet wasn’t a problem as other three rooms were empty! The bathroom shower didn’t work properly but it wasn’t a big deal - overall the place was indeed value for money - I had lower expectations after reading the reviews but it worked out quite well eventually!

Personal was very friendly and helpful. We could check in even before official check-in hours. Got another room than booked. However, as they made us the favour with earlier check-in, we accepted it. Later on, the heating was not working properly, so we called the property, and they offered us another room with functional heating, and everything was good. The common bathroom could be a bit cleaner. However, that also depends on the other guests. Would definitely come again.

The hostel has a great location, but there are some aspects that reduce the overall experience. Some furniture, door handles, and locks are quite worn and in need of updating. The mattresses are a particular issue—placing a second mattress on top of an old, worn-out one doesn’t add comfort. Unfortunately, there are also stains on the walls and furniture, suggesting a lack of care. It seems that the hostel relies more on affordable pricing and its convenient location than on quality. I hope the owners consider a cosmetic renovation to improve the overall impression of the stay.
