Our entire stay in Zermatt was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, every single member of the staff was attentive, warm, and genuinely kind. Their hospitality truly made a difference. Breakfast was consistently delicious, with fresh products and an impressive variety of options. The coffee was excellent as well. The views from the breakfast area are simply breathtaking — starting the day with that scenery was unforgettable. We also loved the afternoon tea with pastries, such a thoughtful and enjoyable touch. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The bathrooms are well-equipped and practical. The only thing I would have loved is the option to connect Netflix or mirror my phone to the TV to watch series or movies. One detail that felt unusual at first was that the mattress was separated and there were no traditional top sheets, but honestly, we have no complaints at all. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the duvet was so good that I now want one just like it at home. The spa area is incredible and very well equipped: sauna, infrared room, cold room (-10º), indoor pool, and outdoor pool. The only small improvement I would suggest is making the pools slightly warmer — the temperature was fine, but a bit warmer would make them perfect. We also loved the convenience of being able to rent ski equipment directly at the hotel, and having a ski room with lockers to store everything properly. Overall, a truly exceptional experience. We would absolutely come back.

Absolutely perfect stay. Highly recommend. Get a balcony room with a view of the Matterhorn if budget permits. Excellent location. Easy walk to everything in town. Ski shuttle stop basically right outside the door. Provided ski lockers were an extra bonus. Breakfast had a variety of options. They will even make you an omelette or fried eggs if you ask. Spa was gorgeous. My only suggestion would be to make the outdoor pool and Indoor “hot tub”hotter. Complimentary train station transport was nice to be included . Not the hotel’s doing… beware if you opt to utilize the electric taxi’s, it will cost you $30 for a couple minute drive to the ski lifts. There is a small grocery store & bakery across the street. The larger Coop store is maybe a 10min walk. We would definitely stay again!

Communication with La Couronne prior to my arrival was smooth and easy. Once I provided my train schedule, a free hotel shuttle was waiting for me as soon as I stepped out of Zermatt train station. Unfortunately, weather wasn’t ideal during my three-night stay. The Matterhorn was mostly hidden behind thick clouds. The only time I caught a glimpse of it was one evening while eating cup noodles on the balcony. I truly wished that on at least one of those three mornings I could have seen the famous golden sunrise, but no luck. On the bright side though, I was able to spend more time enjoying this spectacular hotel, spa and pool etc. My room had all the amenities and more. It was the first time I’d seen a complimentary backpack provided, such a thoughtful touch. Breakfast each morning was also a treat. Not only did I enjoy the wide variety of food choices, but the glass-roofed dining area offered a beautiful view, even more so when the weather cooperated. Every corner of this hotel was tastefully decorated and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. I once again used the free shuttle on my check-out day. Highly recommended.
