camping municipal les Glières

We visited for one night in early September 2024 and we were really impressed. This place has better facilities than some large expensive campsites we had visited in the Alps. Pitches for vans were spacious with some shade and trees have been planted to increase shade and privacy in future. Electric hook up available. Warden was onsite 8.30am to 10.30am when we visited. One bathroom was open with 4 showers and toilets - very clean, toilet paper available and lovely hot water in the showers. Drinking water available. Lovely hot water at the dish washing sinks. Common room with large fridge (not on when we stayed), TV, hot plates and pans for cooking. Information about local walks. BBQ areas. Park for children with covered seating and BBQ area Cute little chalets/ glamping pods also available For l6 euros (we did not have electricity) this was really great value. Highly recommend

Very nice, quiet and not expensive camping, clean showers and toilets, nice trees so enough shade for the hot days, cool nights so good to sleep. The camping is located near a road but that's not a very busy road and the traffic doesn't go fast. There is a river on the other side but that's not accessible from the camping. Nearby (4 minutes drive) there is a Intermaché supermarket. A great place to sleep and make day trips from to the lakes, moutains, rivers, etc.

Great little campground not far from Albertville. A kitchen, lounge to watch the tour and a handy little shop just up the road. Good bathroom facilities and wifi, very reasonable price, what more could you want.
