Noah's Ark Caminho

I can't say enough good things about this place. It is a truly unique experience on the Camino. Saimon, his wife, and their son Noah are genuinely beautiful souls. Conversations are deep, challenging, and satisfying. The location is enchanting. Well worth walking a few km past Ponte de Lima (which is way too touristic for my taste). You sleep in tents here, but the comfort level is higher than in most albergues along the way. Bottomless glass of wine, dinner and breakfast are included in the price of a one night stay. Please go. We need to encourage people and places like this! I felt at peace here. Buen camino.

This is truly a place that embodies the Camino spirit! There is peace, respect, and laughter in this very unique “Alburgue “! Simon and Tim treated each of us as family, always looking for a way to provide support- whether it was offering us a small snack, or providing more blankets as the temperature dropped. The food was delicious- both breakfast and supper, the tents were comfortable- and complete with air mattresses. And again, my favorite part was the warm welcome and commitment to the spiritual aura of the Camino. I feel blessed to have stayed there. I stayed there on May 10, and the more I continue my journey, the more I realize how special and memorable my stay was at Noah’s Ark. Noah is adorable! 💙

An incredibly beautiful place with such good energy. We received exactly what we needed—and more. When you come with an open heart and a respectful spirit, the experience gives back twice as much. The dinner the hosts prepared for us was amazing, especially the fresh bread that Saimon went all the way into town to get just for us. Falling asleep to the sound of water outside was so calming. The tents were very comfortable, with plenty of warm blankets and a really great mattress. Thank you, Saimon, Tim, and Camila, for opening your home to us. It was truly special.
