Hotel Zum schwarzen Löwen

I absolutely loved the restaurant at the hotel — the chef clearly puts great care into every detail, from the presentation to the flavors and overall harmony of the dish. My room was on the second floor (third floor by American standards), and when I opened the window, I was greeted with a charming view of the church tower and the mountains. It's truly a wonderful place to stay.

We booked online however there is no concierge or actually anyone after 6pm :/ After 5-6 attempted phone calls we were finally told where to find a key outside. Clean rooms, shared toilet, nice classic Swiss style breakfast included however upon check out they wanted to charge an extra 40€ euros for our two kids (3 & 5 year old) who simply ate a small yogurt, I politely refused, she answered harshly and charged me 20€ anyways. Please note: There is no parking spots so you have to find and pay for overnight parking. Reason for stay…short drive to Mount Stoos

Wouldn’t stay again. Shared bathrooms are fine however there is only one shower and two toilets, for 15 (ish) rooms. The hotel is on a very busy road, so expect noise. The room smelt like damp which was unpleasant. For the price stay somewhere else. Noteworthy, the morning service was excellent at breakfast.
