I got bed bugs here, but otherwise it's great 😁 I've never had such good service in a hostel! Great people, very friendly, and ready to help. Only thing is that they keep very odd hours which can be difficult if you need anything outside of 3-8pm with the receptionist. The rooms were clean and had great amenities, providing a towel and thicker blanket (first hostel that has done so for us!!). I slept very well, but I unfortunately woke up the next day with beg bug bites. The location was central in a small town, very cute!

I was a bit worried with some recent reviews, but after staying in Ostello Corniglia for two nights in August I can totally recommend this place! First, Alessandro was super nice and helpful. He quickly answered every e-mail I sent him in advance, explained me everything on arrival, gave me some useful tips about hiking trails and local sights and even stand my Duolingo Italian 😄 Ok, it’s not a fancy hostel with some stylish lounge area, but: + It’s the best price in whole Cinque Terre (in addition to this I received a discount for no air-condition), + You can get a Cinque Terre card with a discount there (hiking discount is huge!) You can even do it in advance, just Alessandro ask by e-mail, + hostel is very well located, + towel is included. 8 beds in a room, two big fans – in the night (August) was ok, even better than in another place I stayed. Showers and WC were clean and all fixed, bed sheets were clean, no bed bugs. No breakfast, but in the person in the supermarket two steps away will make you a big homemade sandwich for your choice for 3 euro 😋 So, bear in mind that check-in is 3-8pm, be nice at first and everything will be good 😊 Thank you, Alessandro, I had a great time in Cinque Terre also thanks to your friendly attitude. Take care!

Please do yourself a favour and DO NOT STAY HERE. I’m a seasoned veteran of hostels, but this by far is the worst I’ve ever experienced. The room next to ours was apparently infested with bed bugs, there was no aircon (allegedly it’s broken in all rooms) and only two fans for eight people to share. The room at night and day was hotter than the temperature outside, making it basically impossible to sleep— the heat was oppressive and the humidity in the rooms stifling. The showers here are the worst I’ve experienced in a hostel, and almost anyone can walk in as you change because you cannot do it in the shower. Nothing locks so the keys are basically pointless (we never had to use ours during our entire stay), and the reception keeps the most random hours so it’s a guessing game whether they will be there or not. Do yourself a favour and splurge on somewhere else— Corniglia is beautiful but this hostel will ruin your experience of cinque Terre.
