Hut in the Sheep Wash

A lovely shepherds hut, nicely finished and in a peaceful location. Just what we wanted. Dogs loved it as well. There were scones on arrival and breakfast goodies including eggs. Bedding and towels were also provided. A great spot to stay when touring the Lakes

I really wanted to love this place, it’s super cosy and decorated nicely. The location is lovely too. However, the hut was generally not clean enough, especially the bed which was covered in dried dirt, hairs and stains on the pillows. To add to this there was an awful smell of decay that no matter what we did, did not get better. I’ve communicated this to the owner with no response. We could only sleep there as we were so exhausted, but left promptly in the morning as we couldn’t spend any longer than necessary in the hut.

What a beautiful place to stay! We found this little hut through Air B&B and it was perfect. We took our rescue dog who is scared of people and dogs and it was a fantastic place for her to explore and totally relax. The hut had everything you could need and Hillary was a great host, I'd absolutely recommend for anyone to stay who'd enjoy being off grid for a night or two ❤️
