The rest is upstairs, and when I entered it seemed like "happy chaos" - a lunchtime local crowd, boisterous and familial. I had multiple wait staff checking on me, each eager to please. I ordered the ricotta raviolis - and the big surprise being the cod dish. Wow, probably the best prepared that I've ever eaten. The house white wine was excellent. If you want a great local experience, this restaurant is a good bet.

A really genuine, good quality restaurant offering local dishes with simple but well presented style. Excellent price quality ratio in a friendly informal environment. Young, helpful staff with quick service. A really enjoyable lunch. Exactly what we were looking for. Good quality and authentic food. Recommended!

Stopped in the hotel here as a starting point on the Via Francigena, which was booked ahead by our tour operator. The staff were very friendly, but everything seems to be concentrated on the restaurant rather than the accommodation side of the business. Our room was clean, but basic and dated, with the bathroom in particular need of renovation. Nice to have a fridge in the room, except ours didn't work. When we notified the staff about this, they quickly switched it for another, however this didn't work either. Some of the breakfast was basic with a lot of prepackaged items, i.e. croissants, etc. Alongside this there were cereals, granola, fruit and yoghurts, so it was possible to have a decent meal before heading off for the day.
