Polruan Holidays camping and caravanning

it’s a small campground in the hill of Polruan, but I can say that, after hiking 38 days in the South West Coast Path, it is the cleanest campsite we have been! The bathrooms, the laundry, the washing area and even the garbage area are impeccably clean. Do you know those spider’s web that we always find in bathrooms? Well, there is NONE here!!!!! And those high windows that no one cleans? Here there is no difficult place to clean! Everything is very clean and organized. Can it be better? Yes. There are picnic tables in the space and a little library (!!!!). And The hosts are so kind and gentle!!! There is just one thing missing in this campground: a small covered space for hikers, so they can shelter and cook in rainy days. It doesn’t have to be big and complex. Just a shelter with a picnic table or two. With that the campsite will become perfect!!!!

This was our second visit to the campsite. It is a fantastic location with views of the sea and countryside. The hosts, Liz and Ray are very welcoming, friendly and do all they can to help you and make your holiday a more positive experience. The facilities are well maintained and very clean. The site is walking distance to Polruan where you can buy ample provisions or you can catch the local ferry to Fowey. Overall the campsite is a great place to stay. This is a great campsite. The facilities are spotless, the owners are very friendly and helpful, the views of the sea from all of the camping pitches are outstanding. Polruan village, with its pubs well stocked store, bakery and ferries to Fowey is a short (but steep) walk away. Access to the South West Coast Path is just across the road from the site. We had a very enjoyable stay and wouldnt hesitate to return.
