Wellington Hotel

Hospitality is clearly a top priority here. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The rooms have everything you need and are spotlessly clean. As we were traveling with dogs, we were given a room in the courtyard with direct access to the gate, which was perfect. Within seconds we were out on the beautiful fields behind the hotel, enjoying stunning views over the countryside. The hotel is very centrally located in St Just, with restaurants and a supermarket directly across the street. We felt very comfortable and would happily stay here again.

I didn't use the hotel part. Who cares about the hotel or the bar, the tables or the chairs, or the other clients ? The pint of draught brown nectar helped me pay homage to a generous plate of pie, mash and gravy with some peas. It was one of the bestest bits of pie I have ever had. It reminded me of what a pie should taste like. I didn't even know I had forgotten till then. Better than my mother ever made, or I could make! What's the secret ? I now have yet another reason for returning to St. Just, which is pretty by the way...

Not great... Based on our 1 night stay. Room was extremely dated and in need of some much needed TLC. Bed was extremely low and the springs could be felt as soon as you sat down. Mattress replacement definitely needed as our quality of sleep was very poor. Mould in the bathroom requires attention. NO toiletries only a half used bottle of hand soap. Carpets need a good shampooing. Breakfast was very restricted.(at £140 per night) this shouldn't be the case. Wait time was extremely long for the number of guests. Only 1 cup of tea or coffee was allowed. Breakfast was also sub standard no runny egg hard sausage and generally not great. Outside areas we unkempt and I need of a good overhaul and much needed clean. Over grown littered and generally untidy. Staff overall were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately we wouldn't stay again.
