Bänklialp Hotel Restaurant

Thank you Tim and team at Bänklialp!!! Our group arrived around 10 am and Tim was so accommodating to help hold the shuttle for extra time to allow our group to make it to the slopes without lugging all our gear by foot. He also made some calls and was able to swap my ski rental at the last minute to the base station location so we wouldn’t have to trek around town to pick it up. What amazing service! The rooms were great and can highly recommend booking the spa as well since we had a great time with the whole place to ourselves. All the other staff were kind and super helpful with our logistics and questions. If you’re looking for a place to stay this is it!!

We had a fantastic stay at the Bänklialp Hotel from 5–8 March 2026 for our ski holiday. From the moment we arrived, the service and help we received from the team was absolutely brilliant — friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel itself was spotless, with clean, modern interiors that made it feel both comfortable and well cared for. Everything was presented to a very high standard, which really added to the overall experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

The Bänklialp Hotel enjoys an ideal location at the foot of the Titlis Bergbahn, making it particularly convenient for skiing. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus, although parking comes at an additional CHF 10. The hotel is situated slightly outside the center of Engelberg, but if you really want to, it is walkable. One downside was the long waiting time at reception, especially considering the hotel was not fully occupied. The room I stayed in could definitely use a thorough refurbishment; it felt dated and in need of an upgrade. On the positive side, breakfast was more than sufficient, with a good selection, and dinner was also perfectly fine — solid and satisfying after a day in the mountains. Overall, Bänklialp Hotel is a practical choice thanks to its location and decent dining, but there is room for improvement when it comes to service efficiency and room quality.
