Chain Locker, Falmouth

My husband and I went to the Chain Locker for the first time to celebrate my birthday. The location was awesome and although it was dark the views and the restaurant styling were really impressive. Our table was booked for 7.30 but as the weather was typically Cornish we took shelter early and asked if we could be seated 45 minutes early. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming or accommodating and we were promptly taken to our table. A large party of 35 arrived as the evening progressed and, without prompting, our delightful waiter, Adam, prepared and offered us a table slightly further away from the noise. Adam and all the waiting staff were friendly and absolutely brilliant. The food and drink were good and as expected for a St Austell Brewery pub. We will definitely visit again with friends and family and will recommend. Next time we'll have a drink at the bar downstairs too which was equally inviting and had a great atmosphere.

Second time I've stayed here at the Chain locker. Yes' it's casual but that suits my style.Staff are brilliant and work hard to make sure you are happy. Food is traditional but extremely well cooked, try the steak it awesome 😁. Breakfast lasts you all day. Overall an absolute pleasure staying here. Paul.

Luckily the Chain Locker was recommended to us after we found that many venues were closed on 5th January. (We didn't stay in the rooms.) We loved the warm, informal atmosphere in the downstairs bar. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was amazing, freshly cooked and very tasty. We sent our compliments to the Chef! I had the salmon special, which had a lovely balance of flavours including prosecco veloute. My husband had steak with triple fried chips, best he has had in a long time. We would give 5 stars for the food. We recommend to others and hope to be back soon. Thanks from a couple of Foodies 😃
