Braeside Guest House

We had a lovely welcome from Fiona and she was kind enough to find me a bucket so I could dunk my feet in ice water (ice from the very convenient Spar just round the corner). It was our 20 wedding anniversary trip and there was a little bottle of bubbly in the room to celebrate with - heaven and so kind of them. The room was spotlessly clean and has a little seating area in the garden where we sat in the evening sun. Lovely dinner in the Drymen Inn and then a good breakfast there the following morning.

I stayed in the Pod opposite the reception. Despise it's size, it contained all amenities of a small cottage. The staff were really helpful, especially where to eat. Highly recommended!! 😊

We had a last-minute stop here while walking the West Highland Way and couldn’t have been happier to find such a lovely place. Situated in the heart of the town it was a convenient place to stay. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. The room was clean, cosy, and perfect for resting tired legs after a long day of walking. Everything we needed was provided, including the offer of a packed lunch the following day, which really made a difference. Highly recommend for anyone doing the WHW or just passing through. A real gem of a stopover!
